[SOLD] Egret II 15k~31k + bench (+Capcom Amplifier)

Post by Jeston » Fri Jan 16, 2009 10:50

Hallo :P

I'm selling my last Egret II and its bench, the best of the two I had...

- screen is not burned (really nice picture quality in 15k aswell as 31k)
- switch mono stereo
- volume pot (mono only)
- I can add an original Capcom Q sound amp for 100 euros more
- Capcom CPS2 conncector
- Capcom CPS1 connector
- power supply +5V -5V +12V (great for pcb's that requires -5V)
- mint topper (new)
- original insruction strip
- all stickers are there

Honestly, the cab is in really great shape

Price is 900 euros, pick up in Brussels (no delivery, it doesn't fit in my car)

Hello Jeston :)

15 and 31k? You mean you got a tri-sync chassis in it? If so, What kind of chassis?

could you please post a bigger picture?

Yes please, a little bit bigger than stamp size. But i can vouch for it that the cab is looking great, i've seen it myself. :)

OT: i think something is wrong with the image viewer on nozomi? I always get pictures in stamp-sized too. I've seen this picture in 640*480 on another forum.

Viewer on nozomi is working good. Apparently the image links to a thumbnail, Try this:

The cab sure looks nice, but price level is a bit high, isn't it? Even if it is tri-synced.

Yes, the price is a bit on the high side. It's not too much trouble to find a collector's condition cab onsale now-a-days in Europe.

Anyhoe, Maybe Jeston could react to all this first? There sure is interest in it.

- Ok, The cab looks great but what tube and chassis is in it Thomas?

Would appreciate your reply.

it's a Wei-ya chassis (same as AWSD) and a toshiba tube (by far better than the Samsung used in the AWSD)

I'll post some better pictures later.

Concerning the price, to be honest, I've been disconnected from the arcade since several months and I don't really know what's the current situation

Toshiba tube is awesome! Wei-ya chassis isn't the best unfortunately. Thanks for the answer so far. Looking forward to the pics.

The current arcade situation just reflects society. :) This means most people don't have much to spend.

Honestly I've seen several collector's condition Egret 2 cabs go for around GBP 550,- I would have never sold it for this but people do. Also the pound is very weak at the moment which is also part of the reason i guess.

Still, Great cab you got there. ;)

Another thing: Is the rotate meganism still in place and working?

About the wei-ya chassis, I would say it suffers from bad reputation, mostly because it's not adjusted correctly most of the time.
Also it's the only chassis avaible that could trisynch an Egret2 (yeah there is Rodotron/Pentranic wich is actually the same, it's a clone...)

The rotation mecanism is of course fully working ! :P

Concerning the price, the pound is low, and the cab are located in UK... it must be said
I've checked on a french forum, I've seen an Egret 2 without topper, without instruction strip, burned monitor and no trisynch was sold for 650 euros

So, I think if you add the bench, topper, no burn-in and consider it's trisynch, we're about 1000 euros, I think

(and as you said, you would never sell at this price ^^)

Do you still have the original 15/24k chassis board?

Hi Jeston,
I am looking for a replacement monitor for my Blast City. It has to be able to do 31khz because I want to put my Naomi in it. The monitor I have suffers from screenburn so I want a monitor that has no or minimal screenburn.
do you have a spare monitor?
thanks,
Rob

Well, I have 2 monitors and unfortunately they are both second choices...
One of them has an INSERT COIN burning mark and the other has some scratches on it (I need to check if it's possible to remove the scratches with some polish kit, it migt work).
They are both 15~24k only.

So, considering all that, I think it's not really suitable for you

By the way, would anybody be interested in the bench only for 100 euros ?

I will post a pic in the cab thread tomorrow. Gotta buy some batteries for my cam ;)
Besides H64, Elevator Action also is great on this cab!
