- Overall game balance has been improved.
- Three new characters - "Yoshimitsu", "Charade" and "Cervantes" are now available.
- "Conquest Mode" is enabled.
- "Time Attack Mode" (alternative and extreme) is enabled.
- Specific ranking screens are now selectable.
- "Event Mode" now allows the first of either player 1 or player 2 to press the start button to enter competion mode immediately.
- "VER.D" is displayed on the conquest ID display part of the game screen.
- "SC21 Ver.D" is displayed in the upper right of the test mode screen.
- The game can be played at a basic level if there is a fault with the memory card.
- The game can reboot if the power is turned off when reading from or writing to the memory card.
