In most cases the Naomi monitor is better cause E3 and AWSD have B - C grade CRT's. :P Is the monitor in your Naomi flat? If not you would have bezel problems when swapping.

And it's not a drop in replacement if you're expecting that.

There's no specific cab which has the best picture. It depends on the monitor inside. But when comparing picture quality with New Astro (Nanao 15/24 K) and Atomiswave SD (Samsung / Wei-Ya 15-31K)

15K picture on the New Astro / Nanao beats the AWSD by miles. 15K picture on a Samsung isn't the best i've seen. (Colors not vibrant) That's not a matter of taste but a fact because i've had them side by side and the New Astro just really pops out in terms of picture quality. When comparing 15k picture that is. And believe me i'm really picky when it comes to picture quality.

If it comes to tri-sync then the Blast City (Toshiba / Nanao) is just pure awesomeness. 8)

Then there's still the pure flat Sanwa PFX and Toshiba CRT's but i've never seen them in action.

I'm planning to buy a Sanwa PFX tri-sync in my Naomi in the future cause i've heard amazing things about it. It's a drop in replacement and the only thing needed is a small power cable adapter and you're off. Not to mention a flat bezel as well.
